Unsinkable Sam



During the Second World War, sailors took the cat aboard the German battleship "Bismarck". Nine days later, the battleship was sunk by a British squadron, only 115 of the 2,200 crew members managed to escape. The cat was picked up by British sailors and taken aboard the destroyer "Kazak", which five months later was torpedoed by a German submarine. Subsequently, the cat was "transferred" to the aircraft carrier "Ark Royal", which was also soon sunk.

And only after that, they decided to leave the cat, nicknamed "Unsinkable Sam", on the shore, where he lived until 1955. 😼
