One of the parts of Marine Digital Fuel Optimization System (FOS) is PAYS service. You will reduce expenses on maps thanks to the PAYS (pay as you sail), which allows you to pay only for charts you used while your journey. You can use this service separately from FOS - this is an independent service that provides e-charts secure delivery and payment of only those routes along which the vessel went.

PAYS - service that not only eliminates the headache with e-charts and ECDIS, making life easier for the master and shipowner but also significantly reduces the cost of e-charts and the cost of the internet on the ship. PAYS allows you to have all charts open on ECDIS, and funds are debited only for those charts that the ship actually used. The use of PAYS reduces the need to use expensive communications at sea to download charts in the event of a change in route (port change, weather, critical circumstances), or any errors in planning or in ECDIS. In addition, there is no need to buy cards in advance, and then "discard" them as the ship changed the route.

In addition to directly reducing the cost of buying charts and expensive communications, the system significantly improves safety - always the necessary charts on board. Safety of navigation is also getting better, because in critical circumstances, you do not need to configure ECDIS with charts. Shipowners just choose the Area of sailing then the System automatically updates needed charts on a vessel, in case of leaving the defined area System will make an alert and send new charts to the Vessel. Shipowners see the real routes and positions of the fleet online, can define areas, manage and reduce costs in a couple of clicks.
